How To Run The Watermaker

  1. Turn on the Generator
  2. Select "HP Pump" on the switch below the main distribution panel.
  3. Open the water inlet valve.
  4. Open the OVERBOARD valve.
  5. Turn on the LOW PRESSURE water maker pump.
  6. Turn on the HIGH PRESSURE water maker pump.
  7. Turn on the Watermaker on its Control Box.
  8. Adjust the pressure gauge to 800 psi. Turning to the RIGHT increases pressure.
  9. Adjust salinity to #2.
  10. You should be seeing about 2 litres/water per minute.

How To Stop The Watermaker

  1. Wind down the pressure to zero.
  2. Switch OFF at control box.
  3. Turn both HP and LP switches OFF.

Water Sample

You can sample the output water from the tap at the lower LH corner of the unit. Periodically use the TDS-3 meter to test the water quality - it should give you less than 100 ppm salt.

Preparation for Non Use

  • For periods of several days to a week the system can be left without operation.
  • For periods up to 21 days, flush the system with its own fresh water.
  • For periods uo to 3 months, use a preserving cartridge.
  • For periods longer than 3 months, use a new preserving cartridge every 3 months.
